Bra I done seen 3 year starting Point Guards get their schollys taken from them for no reason, coaches promising these nikkas the world then lying they ass off, Hoes smiling in these nikkas faces then when they leave they discussing how they wanna get pregnant by them so they can get paid whether hes in the league on on the practice team, bytches callin themselves being they girlfriend but when the starting WR grandmomma dies this bytch nowhere to be found to comfort a nikka, white boys smiling in their face in tiger land but when them nikkas leave its "******"this and nikka that, coaches playing politics, hoes passin them std's and shyt (but thats with any nikka really ) people treating them like kings when their the starting qb but 3 years later when hes playing bball at the lsu gym with my ass cuz he aint make it to the league nikkas playin them to the side etc etc etc

and thats just a little of what i've seen/heard...and thats not much

on a side note, the number 1 recruit in the nation for bball that comin to lsu gone be gettin 5 G's a month

Nothing abnormal here. This is the way of the world, and it's also why many athletes and celebs can't handle when their star fades out.

It's like Randy Moss said in that 3 for 30, he learned in high school that when you're doing great on the field ppl love you, when you're not, they wanna throw you away. Better to tlearn that early in life

Best way to deal w/ it is, don't believe the hype to begin with and you'll be straight.

I feel bad for Gurley, I know it's hindsight but JUST BECAUSE of incidents like these...if I woulda got suspended for what he did, I thank my teammates and coaches, get my degree and I shut it down, hire an agent and start preparing myself for the combine and by the time Feb-March come around I'm a few steps ahead of the comp.

They already have plenty of film on me, they know my talent, I take a gamble that I go no less than low 1-high 2. That's when my agent, the combine, and/or pro day is for...to advertise. Hindsight now but damn this is a disgusting system cfb is...

I tried to play RB in high school for one season. Spring was all good lifting weights and gettin swole. Summer came along and we practiced in shells and shorts minimal contact... All good. Two a days was a bytch but still avoided any injuries and got swole as phugg. All good. Season started, I felt like a "real ass nikka" walking around campus on game days with the jersey on... Girls were approaching me wishing me good luck and giving "dat eye" All good. First carry, 47power, I motion, get the rock, turn to hit the hole, Got the living shyt knocked out of me by a DE and LB from both sides. That was that. I switched to corner and got minimal reps. Bright side is I still got to dress on gamedays and got all the fringe benefits of being on the team with none of the hits and slid the phugg out of there before the next season's two-a-days started after getting in another summer of lifting. I got my on. All good.

tl;dr: Being a RB hurts. Changed positions, got buried on the bench but still got some out of it.

I was at OU in the midst of an incredible football run.

And not by choice, but alot of my friends were athletes so I experienced how the game was 1st hand.


Matter of fact, I remember one night a friend of mine told me to me wear his championship ring to a party and it def became a conversation piece w/ the girls, they believed whatever I told them

Looks like Georgia did the right thing and upped his insurance policy before hand.

As Georgia running back Todd Gurley was serving a four-game suspension for accepting money for autographs, the University of Georgia spent more money on him to support him when he did get back on the field.

Sources told ESPN.com that, within the last two weeks, Georgia upped Gurley's insurance policy to $10 million in coverage -- $5 million for total disability if Gurley got injured and never played again and $5 million in loss of value insurance, which would kick in if Gurley injured himself and slipped in the draft.

Gurley, who tore his ACL against Auburn in his first game back, previously had $5 million in total disability and $2.5 million in loss of value insurance. The policy was written by International Specialty Insurance.

In his latest draft big board, published Nov. 12, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. listed Gurley as his No. 8 overall pick.

Sources say that Gurley would start to collect on his loss of value insurance if he slipped out of the first round. He would collect the full $5 million if he somehow went undrafted. He also could collect $5 million if the injury prevented him from ever playing again.

Sources say Georgia paid in between $50,000 and $60,000 for the policy. Over the last two years, the NCAA has allowed schools to pay such policies, most of which have been paid for through the Student Assistance Fund. The fund allows schools to pay for certain items for athletes in need, including insurance.

The date for Gurley's surgery to repair his ACL has not yet been determined.
