Meanwhile we had to take Melvin...who I still think is pretty good but a combination of no fullback and a suspect O-line gonna lead to some questions for Mel.

Looks like a bust to me. Little soft. He needs to gain weight and man up.

He used to run through holes that were 10 yards wide

It's a huge adjustment he's making

Nah can't shyt on Melvin with this O-line. I haven't missed a game in a decade and a half the Oline is suspect as shyt both running and one of the absolute worst passing. Melvin had 3-4 explosive runs in the Cinci game he has talent.

Is he still Mr. "Look to bounce it outside all the time"?

I actually don't see that. Not sure if that was a knock on him in college but the majority of our runs I feel are either power runs to the right side with no full back or a draw plays(the fkin worst) and I don't remember seeing any sort of proclivity to bounce things to the outside. He's actually show a lot more physicality when finishing his runs then I expected. Gotta fix the fumbling though.

Even though we needed a pass rusher I really wanted ATL to draft him. He has a chance to be the best player in that draft and a top 10 player in the league in general.

I respect his talent and gifts, but I just don't trust UGA RBs in the NFL. They either can't live up to hype or actually produce and get bitten by the injury bug.

Gurley is going to be the best back in the league by next year and as long as he stays healthy he will have a Hall of Fame type career. He is a once every decade type talent and the Rams were very smart to scoop him up when they did.
