Yeah ND was very limited at certain spots. I still to this day think USC wins by 2 TD's with a healthy Barkley USC had the WR's to expose the weak ND secondary just had crummy Max Wittek at QB who couldn't hit side of barn.

An Alabama/Florida NC game would've been even worse and might have been a real blackeye for CFB amongst the viewing public If we got fed a bullshyt all SEC championship with a team that didn't win its division again. I was so disgusted watching that ND/USC game because EJ Manuel and Mark Stoops wet the bed vs that scrub ass Gator team I was left with no choice but to root for ND so Florida couldn't backdoor into NC game.

That was a classic heel move by Bush and USC the USC movement went to another level after that game you really either loved or hated SC at that point. It's a damn shame that 30 for 30 they did on USC was such a letdown they could've done so much more with that.
