speaking of Japan fukking covid up, i'm shocked at the state of affairs in Canada.
last i heard only 18% of Canadians had gotten one vaccine shot.
Canada is a relatively short drive for me so it's hard to imagine what a different world it must be.
i am by no means wealthy but i do consider myself lucky for living in the U.S.
as much as i hate so many things about this country, the U.S. government got me vaccinated with the quickness.
having that underlying fear removed is priceless.

anyway, i'm predicting a fight between athletes takes place at this years games.

After all the money that was spent, there was no way in hell this was getting canceled.

It's gonna feel even worse now that we've gotten some normalcy (normality?) back with large crowds at the Euros and NBA playoffs. We've tasted that atmosphere again and seen how much of a difference it makes, and now going back to a huge sporting event with no crowds is going to feel like a huge step back.
