But seriously,

Stil DRE is not only just one of the greatest beats of all time (the Piano Mans defining beat ) ...the song itself is crafted masterfully. Dre's boastful delivery (penned by Hov ), Snoops smooth background vocals, the overall sense of mythology with Dre basically summing up his career in his verses, and Dre basically heralding that he and the 2001 album were here to save West Coast Hip Hop make for a extremely classic (if massively self aware) song.

Still DRE isnt just a song IMO, its captures the zeitgeist of Interscope planting the flag, of West Coast rap becoming mainstream again, post Death Row.


And thats why its the GOAT west song, imo at least

I dont think its the best song

but if you were to ever name a song that represents the vibe of each region. Still DRE def is there, it almost personifies the essence of the West coast
