Art is subjective

Art is rarely about the skill. I can draw very very well like comic book art well, but I can't tell a story with brush strokes amd that's something I learned about art. The expression in my drawings are in the characters themselves and just about all great modern artists tell their story through the process of the picture, not the final product. Great artists might not be able to draw faces or arms and hands properly but the strokes tell a different story that character detail can't. I didn't understand it at first, but I understand why art critics stand there and stare at weird pieces or art trying to figure out what we usually see as scribble scratch.

Jackson Pollack literally splattered paint on a canvas and called it a day. Let that nikka of questionable talent get his posthumous paper.
Neither he nor Keith Harring had family or estates in place to do that. That's why you can always buy so much merch of their work for $22 at H&M.

Same for Van Gogh.

Brady always gives me :mjpls: vibes no matter how nice he tries to be.

And the optics of this is crazy. Big ol painting of an angry screaming nikka in the crib with a gen z sambo c00n dressed as a butler posing next to it, Boondocks level comedy in one picture.

Yes. His younger sisters Lisane and Janine run the estate. They are well off I can tell you that much. They are definitely wealthy actually. They still have his original art plus art of Warhol that was given to Basquiat when they were friends. They also have contracts with fashion houses to use his image of his work on clothing and bags.
And toys

I’m sure you could also find a Reddit post saying Nas is a trash rapper, you think you’re making a good point right now? :mjlol:

If we were trying to argue that Nobody ever hates on Nas, like you were implying about Pollock, that yes, i believe that would have been a good point and a retort to your argument, Literally finding people that hate on his work proves you wrong
