It's kinda funny how Tom Cruise is now just considered an "action movie" star, when the first half of his career he mostly refused to do action, and would mostly do serious dramas. In fact I remember it being a big deal when he did the first M.I. on some "Tom Cruise doing an action movie?!?"

Denzel has had a similar career path.

As actors I have to go w/brad pitt...he could have sold out and went the hollywood blockbuster route, but he stayed true to the craft. a true character actor.

TC been bubbling since the 80s, that's 4 decades the nikka been bubblin for. His catalogue of film and difference of roles where his stretched his acting ability exceeds that of Pitt. Don't let the action movies fool you. Pitt on the other hand plays one dimensional lead roles, though his catalogue is pretty decent
