i've noticed a difference in the smoothness of games, but i dont care, has nothing to do with casual or not...as for 4 playing better than 3, i would hope so...the devs are more experienced with the tech, so i hope they'd be able to make a better product...

i'm not doubting yall about it playing/looking smoother, i'm just saying this is one of the things i never cared about when talking about a game...seriously: if they didnt tell yall the framerate of the game, would yall actually care or be able to tell what it was?...could yall sit there and be like 'yea, that's 30 fps' or 'nope, that's not 60 fps'?...i dont think this is something gamers really care about...i think they pretend they do just so they can have a bragging point for their console/game of choice, but that's about it...
If I never heard of fps, I'd still feel the difference between the ease of aiming in a cod and other shooters, I just wouldn't know why.

Hardware aside the ps4 version of bf4 is easier to play than the ps3 version, 6ofps makes the sticks feel more precise

If you can tell the difference between watching TV in 120hz/240hz then you should be able to tell the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps

If you can't then get them eyes checked out

telling the difference and being able to say specific numbers are different things...i can tell a difference, but could i tell you the exact number of the fps? no...that's what i'm asking...could you be able to say what the fps were if they didnt say?...

No I would not be able to tell the difference between 24fps vs. 30fps or even 50fps and 60 fps,

but 30fps vs 60fps is a very noticeable difference. As noticeable as that 120hz soap opera effect on a tv.

that's why i dont think it matters...if they didnt say the numbers, most wouldnt be able to tell the difference...cause it's not like most will buy the same game for different systems to compare them...that's why i think this is an insignificant bragging point...

on a side note: i really dislike that soap opera effect on tvs...

That's like saying that if bf4 ran at 30fps on x1 and 60fps on ps4 and nobody ever mentioned the difference, people wouldn't notice the difference on their own.

While I agree that when a game runs at slightly different frames then it shouldn't really matter but the difference in fps in this game is too drastic to not notice.

I don't like that soap opera effect either but you do notice when your watching double the frames as normal.

i think some would notice the difference, but not as many as you think...i dont think many are going to buy the same game for different systems just to compare...the only time i think info like this might be important is when it comes time to making a choice about what system to buy...

yea, you notice that effect...it ruins a bunch of shyt

Lol @ spending all that time and money and you can't tell the difference between a version of the same game that plays twice as fast as the other. If you can't tell that then ya your probably not a serious gamer. I'm not saying I make my purchases based on framerate, but to act like its not something that makes a difference in gameplay is asitwelve.

i can tell the difference, but telling the difference isnt what i asked...i asked could you tell the specific fps if they didnt tell you?...and since you've bypassed and tried to change that question twice, i'll take it the answer is no...

never said it didnt make a difference in gameplay, just said it's not something i think most gamers really care about...i still think the most important thing to most gamers is whether a game is fun or not

People don't notice framerate unless it has bad dips.

Before the console war of trying to prove which console is more powerful, none of this would be a news story. For most games last gen we didn't even hear what resolution/fps they were. They didn't mention it in reviews and people didnt mention it when talking about what they liked about a game.

Obviously it doesn't make a difference to you if your saying it never mattered to you and that it doesn't cross your mind when playing games. And even going as far as thinking its a talking point amongst gamers. I'm not bypassing anything, its you thats changing what your saying as you go along. Now its can you tell the difference between slight changes in fps. Maybe a select few, but when one game plays twice as fast its pretty obvious.

it doesnt make a difference to me in the fact that it doesnt factor in to whether or not i'm going to purchase a game, play a game, or enjoy a game...

yes, i do think it's a bullshyt talking point..think it started with devs to say our product is better than theirs, that has slid down to gamers and their console of choice...it's one of those lil things to get people to overlook bigger things...like 'this game isnt fun, but it runs at 60 fps and in 1080p'...like that's supposed to make it better or more fun....

i havent changed anything, just go back and read...you asked if i noticed a difference? i said yes, just i didnt care....then i asked if they didnt tell the number of fps, could you tell what they were?...
