The bigger threat is if publishers start enforcing it. One thing that Sony has ALWAYS been about is developer choice. Now that could be a good or bad thing, but again, it's the developer.

MLB the show doesn't require it, Bioshock Infinite doesn't have it. Guess nikkaz need to start reading the terms if they gonna cop digital titles to make sure it's not always online DRM.

If you got it from Steam you can probably play in offline mode no problem. If this is true then you have no way of playing TR when your internet has any sort of outage

Yea you can play offline. I unlocked the game using a VPN early monday and played offline on Steam.

It is the publisher pushing it. If you read the overview of the game in the PSN store, it says you have to be signed into psn to start the game (online DRM). But it's the only one of the newer games like that.

There are only 5 online DRM games on PSN. Tomb Raider is the first big release to do it. MLB 13 dropped yesterday too and it doesn't have the DRM requirement. It's publisher bruh.

fukked up part is you had to read the notes/overview of the game to see that language when buying it. As long as you can sign into PSN, you have no problem, but if you are offline, you are fukked trying to play the digital version since it validates you being signed into PSN to start the game up.

Better read the notes for every day 1 digital game you cop on PSN to make sure. I prefer discs so I can recoup some of my bread.
