You said it was IMPORTANT to point out. I'm just wondering why it's so important. Seems like it would be more important to point out the positives about black women and our relationships with them.

I and others do point out the positives of black women. There is a huge thread on the coli titiled "this is why we love black women."

Brothas get bashed and talked about badly by everyone including by sistas on a daily basis. My question to u is, when is ok to talk about the bad behaviors of black women?

In never said it wasn't ok to talk about it. The problem is you can't talk about the bad behaviors of "black women" because that implies that all black women exibit those behaviors. Any statement starting with "black women are __________" is inherently incorrect.

If you don't like hoodrats then say "hoodrats are__________" if you don't like weave then say "women that wear weave are___________"


The argument that women bash men all day is a tired and immature one. It's like when kids say "he started it". As a man you should stand above the finger pointing and lead your people by example. Gossiping and complaining about stuff is a female activity.

My opinion is that the devide between black men and women is too large as it stands. Anyone presenting negativity about the situation is wrong regardless of their sex. As black men we should be leading our people beyond this negativity not adding to it.

Nobody is free from criticism. Strong responsible men shouldn't concern themselves with criticizing people because they shouldn't be dealing with those people in the first place. Hoodrats don't effect my life because I don't let them. Most things I have to say about women are postitive because I surround myself with good women.

Well tommy frames his hate as "black women" not "some black women" or "weave wearing black women" just "black women" so if you believe what he's saying is true, you must believe that he's talking about your mom. She's a black woman isn't she?

White women have those issues, Hispanic women have those issues, Asian women have those issues.

It's disingenuous to paint these issues as black women issues when all black women don't have those issues and other races of women do.

There is a difference between someone offering constructive criticism/advice and someone offering hate. What tommy is doing is spewing hate, it doesn't matter if there is some truth to it or not because he has ill intentions.

What is wrong with black people's spirit?

It is 2013, and we are still talking light skin/dark skin. we are still spending money on bullshyt. We are still teaching our young to get government jobs or jobs that aren't what they used to be like lawyers. We are still acting like we are the only minority in this country so what we go through is important, and everyone's else's problems aren't the same as ours. We are still beefing with each other if we come from different countries such as the islands/latin America. We still support the church even though we know the bullshyt they are on, and we don't acknowledge that a lot of us are muslims. We still don't want to eat better, and stop eating all the processed food or not fully nutritious meals we eat. I could go on, and on.

The internet has let me see how fukked up the world is, but more importantly, how fukked up we are as a people. All we do is argue, or talk about race, even when it's just us talking to each other. I can't blame white people anymore for a lot of our problems. It isn't white people putting us down about our hair, our skin, or facial or body features, it is us. I don't want to hear it's because of slavery. If we can acknowledge the problem, we can fix. The problem is all we do is acknowledge our issues, and just keep talking about it. When I was young I thought it was going to get better, and it did for a minority of people, but for the majority of ALL black people or mixed, including Latins, NOTHING has changed for the better. It has gotten WORSE.

I have been thinking deep lately on this, and I don't think things are going to be good for the majority of blacks all over the world. Yeah, a few will do better, but for the majority, things don't look good. Until we fix our SPIRITS, we can have all the money in the world, but things won't get better. People like Tommy, are part of the problem, because all that hate he spews does nothing to uplift the spirit of everyone. How long will you go towards dissing the same people who you claim is your own. That is self destruction. That looks like what we are leading to.
