Women overwhelmingly take custody of the children, and we as a society deem that children shouldnt be punished because their parents couldnt work it out, and thus should be taken care of financially. In the event of a divorce, its the father who doesnt take on custody of the kids who should be "coddled", and its the mother and children who should be "raped"? The interest always lies with the children.
