1. Cracking down on sex trafficking (booking info in bio). For as much as sex work should be legislated, it still is inextricably linked to sex trafficking.
2. Arguably the bigger reason is SPONSORSHIPS. It becomes much more difficult to monetize EVERY page or user and there's loads of porn or misinformation. Twitter is a good example of this. IG has some of the best ad targeting in all of social media, they want to maximize those algorithms.
