I feel you. My longer reply got mostly erased when my page refreshed so I’ll say this.
Being from Houston I’ve always been around non ADOS brothers and sisters so idk what it’s like for those that didn’t grow up like that. I’ll definitely be looking to see if what you say holds true.
I’m not letting folks off of the hook though because your logic works both ways. If folks haven’t lived or worked in a neglected ADOS community then it’s hard to see them truly as PEERS. If all you’ve seen is through the lenses of the internet or tv than it’s easy to dehumanize ADOS folks just like non blacks do.
If you’ve never seen first hand just how bad it is for many ADOS children and just how little of a chance of success they have in comparison as others than it’s easy for someone to sit their privileged ass on a computer and type that ADOS supporters must just be some broke ass losers mad at the world. And again being from Houston I know for a fact that many non ADOS brothers and sisters understand that struggle more than some ADOS folks.
I was literally talking to one of my aunts who’s a retired elementary teacher when I typed the post you responded to. She still decided to sub even though she retired because she wants to help. Many ADOS AND non ADOS folks just want to help. The likelihood to believe negative things about ADOS might be an easier sell for individuals who have already dehumanized black Americans. Gives them peace of mind.
new arrivals know whats up. their parents should tell them. they knew what was up.Black immigrants coming to the US are likely running from conditions far worse than the worst St. Louis hood.
Relating to the shytty conditions many Ados reside in is very easy for Black immigrants. Because the conditions they came from are far worse.
Ados need to explain to immigrants why the white system of governance in place is anti Black and debilitates Ados over other groups and will ultimately chew up Black immigrants too.
Because Black immigrants arrive into an American world of plenty and wonder why Ados are in a rut. Black immigrants for the most part are not coming from Europe, they have zero experience dealing with the depravity and cruelty of the white man so tend to think Ados aren't serious. America practices apartheid, Ados need to make this clear to new arrivals so they know what's up.
An outsider always stands a better chance of success than a local. Happens the whole world over.
2017 Tariq was calling Tone a mush mouth nikka on every stream. This was never gonna work.
Plus Tone and Yvette treat ADOS like a political party or movement and Tariq treats FBA like a lineage, which it is.
The identity politics is getting lost in the shuffle because they keep trying to gatekeep a lineage. Tone and Yvette are trying to turn a ethnic group into an imprint that can easily be co-opted behind the scenes. The thing is if you want reparations you gotta enter the political world
Talking about tangibles, while at the same time saying you don't do politics just culture, makes no sense

Crush kamala but still no reparationsCrushing Kamala Harris by saying “we are FBA and no tangibles no vote” is political and it was done without making a political institution.
If they asking for reparations there gotta be a gatekeep. The identity politics is getting lost in the shuffle because they keep trying to gatekeep a lineage. Tone and Yvette are trying to turn a ethnic group into an imprint that can easily be co-opted behind the scenes.
Crush kamala but still no reparations
Again the reparations will come from people who do politics, yes you can crush weak candidates like Kamala but that won't get you reparations
And Tariq said himself FBA is only about culture and not politics
Well in that case he should never mentioned reparations or supported them anyways cause the only way to get it is thru political organizations that's how everyone else got itThe problem is that you are still looking for a white savior. You wanna make an organization to beg the government to give you reparations.
What Tariq is advocating is for us to do for self and withdrawing from the political system if it is not gonna do anything for us.
That’s the part y’all keep omitting the part where he says we need to link up and start building businesses and only buying from each other.
He’s essentially combining Malcolm X‘a economic policy with Neely Fuller/Claud Anderson ethnic policy and Darity’s reparations assessments.
That’s why being on code is so important because it goes deeper than reparations. It’s about going the extra mile to prioritize a FBA before everyone else even if it inconveniences you at times.

That's why I thought the union of Tariq and Tone/Yvette wouldn't work. Tariq is for Black Economic Empowerment while it seems, because of "data" Tone/Yvette are not.The problem is that you are still looking for a white savior. I have heard non Ados (including myself) making that same point about how pointless is to beg to the government and I was riduculized for it
But I guess it's a good point now![]()

You talk about I don't know history but your arguments make you look like you live in a fantasy worldYou sound like you don’t know enough history to even speak on this.
1. Who cares how everyone got reparations, that’s the whole reason we have to create our own ethnic identity because we are not treated like everyone else. The government does not see “people of color” it sees its historical Black population and its immigrant tools it uses to displace its historic Black population.
2. Anyone can talk about reparations Tone and Yvette don’t own that discussion.
3. Making organizations for African Americans is the equivalent of making a uniformed standing army against the US Military, YOU WILL LOSE. Being on code and moving as a group of people that follow a set of principles is the equivalent of guerilla warfare, there’s no one entity or person to attack.
We’ve literally seen this first hand with MLK, Malcolm X, Black Panthers, and more. Then you add in all the other puppet orgs like NAACP, Urban League, and more and it becomes clear that centralizing your movement is a recipe for disaster.
You asking for a Black Identity Extremist charge.
