I think all of this is a great opportunity to establish connections and create dialogues because there is a lot that we all can learn from each other. With better understanding comes more respect. We can’t truly work together to overcome global white supremacy without respecting each other and working together. Pretty much all of us have been miseducated about each other.

Tariq makes perfect sense. He wants FBAs to be self-reliant and not to feel like we need government or anyone else for us to be successful. Reparations to him is a debt owed but it’s not his end game, his end game is us controlling our neighborhoods and culture and being the recipient of the spoils of our efforts. With Tone and Yvette, reparations is the end game and so if the gov’t says no what’s their next play? According to them we are incapable of anything and at the mercy of a bunch of external forces.
