This is all fine and dandy but realistically the white majority would be on the verge of starting a violent uprising if this were to occur. to me they both seem naive to think America in 2018 is ready for such radical policies. Most white Americans cant even acknowledge the need for affirmative action. both yvette and tone pander to the good will of white society too much. They think the raw data regarding our economic situation will convince those at the top to create new policies specifically in our favor and it isnt going to happen anytime soon. "Should" don't mean anything in this world. You don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Cac's will violate the Constitution if it means keeping their power structure in place.

Until there are negative ramifications presented by not offering reparations, or a financial benefit to them by offering reparations (would kinda defeat the goal of closing the wealth gap), reparations will not be entertained.

People were willing to die or go to jail for civil rights. It doesn't seem likely that we would do the same for reparations.

The white majority wouldn't vote for it in the first place. People had to die in the streets just to get the right to vote. To think the federal government is just going to hand over a trillion dollars to DOS is asinine. Regardless of whether we deserve it or not, it won't happen at this juncture.

Now if have a planned set of actions that inflict some sort of damage to economy, or are at least makes life uncomfortable, then maybe we have a bargaining position. But right now we would be asking for something that benefits them in no way, because we deserve it. That's not how negotiation works.

They're independent news/ media. How can independent black media survive if black people don't support it. They always share their sources. Our people have always been hopeful. Sometimes we tend normalize dysfunction. I don't think we're use to someone being blunt about situation.

The last two years I had a job, where I traveled all through out America Been to like 27 states . In our communities we don't even have a chain our supermarkets/ or corner stores. EVERYONE REALIZES THIS AND EXPLOITS US. But to us this is normal, our communities aren't doing well.

Chances are if you see an AADOS living comfortably they either working a government job or they put themselves in tdebt to get there
