His career was ridiculous. One of the most consistent players of his era.

I'm a little skeptical about him actually retiring as well
The Falcons would love to keep him, and he was desperate to get on a SB contending team, and he's come so close to sealing the deal.

Maybe his time with the Falcons was good enough for him and he knew that he at least gave it his best shot.

Either way, great player, great competitor. Excited to see some of these younger guys chase his records.

I think his retirement does seem genuine to me, even though he could play a couple more years and still be a top 5 TE.

We're talking about the greatest TE to ever play the game. Think about that, a basketball player, and he's the best to ever do it at his position. Arguably a top 5 reciever period. It's disrespectful the lack of attention he's getting just because he wasn't controversial or a attention whore.
