Aew doing bad is bad for wrestling overall. Not sure why as a wrestling fan you want it to fail. If it succeeds the more likely other type of wrestling will show up.
I guarantee you that at least 5 posters going into retirement if it closes, MFs gonna have 0 content outside of roasting .

I don't want AEW to go away -- monopolies and monopsonies are bad for everyone. But I'm also not going to pretend I don't enjoy the schadenfreude when things go off the rails.

What are we taking about when we're talking about failure? The Warner/TNT sit falling through? I think they'll be able to catch on elsewhere and Tony will keep pouring money in. If AEW dissapears it's because Tony decides he doesn't want to do it anymore.

I think AEW succeeding to the extent it has is probably proof of concept enough that some of the wrestlers could put their own shyt together if Tony wants out.

AEW is good for the industry man. Great for it, essential for it even. I think WWE and AEW are so necessary for each other. everyone who doesn’t like the style of one can go and watch the other. If you don’t like the soapy style of WWE, you got the more wrestling dominant alternative

But in that, there’s lil groups of both fanbases that want the absolute worse for the company they don’t champion. I don’t know if they’re just trying to match the energy of eachother or what their end goal really is, but they sit around all day polluting the net with bad faith takes disguised as something else and it’s mad exhausting for the people like me who ain’t got venom for either company and just wanna kick it and watch the shows lol

And the people who contribute to the shyt the most are the ones who swear they don’t. You got people who are upfront with it and base their entire online being on being a fan of one of them promotions, but then you got the nikkas who swear they call it right down the middle and they be the worse perpetrators lol

There is no aew without big tv deal. Who’s gonna put them on tv if it fails?

Amazon might be interested. CBS/Paramount maybe. If AEW existing is predicated on being on TNT what was the point of all the backpatting about them going further than WCW?
TK being the money behind the Company is still very important. If he sold it off it wouldn't be great for AEW even with a proper streaming/TV deal.

:mjcry:I seriously can't wait like a mofo and I actually want AEW to do better. But these fukking stans man. Its like jeez why heads are so insecure. I don't even think TNA stans were that obnoxious. Hell, CZW in its prime heads that used to give Maffew shyt wasn't such demonic assheads like Dubbalos. Don't get me wrong, the level headed stans I don't mind as much because they have their choices. Its the "watch wrestling" "I need to make my point valid, fukk your argument" and "Impossible! I'm not a AEW fan" concern trolling stans that I wish the most misfortune for because they single-handedly killed my love for professional wrestling.

To this very day, I got wild smoke for anybody that doesn't treat this business like a fake sports hobby :demonic:

This is why I miss bookers that put the marks and smarks behind the cage and not in it. Looking back at it, the whole "Hijack WWE" steez was wild stupid because the fanbase will never be happy or don't know what they wanted.

Bryan was a champion for a spell but didn't move as much units as other main event wrestlers especially Cena. Sure, Vince is a senile prick and like to make wrestlers react like personal puppets, but he knew who drew and not drew. When desperation came into play (Diesel), it was all because of the shift in the business and not so much that Diesel was a lousy fukking champion (maybe but that's all in the past).

This business gives too much leeway to the fans, instead of treating them like customers. Its like Nino Brown and em giving the dope fiends credit and decision-making skills to help him cook crack :why: .

Like stay the hell out of the kitchen with that bullshyt. Tony Khan welcomed these sickos with open arms, and the moment the company dies I'm not going to lose sleep but feel bad for the workers and wrestlers that lost their way of living. But life goes on.

But the sickos can collectively fukk off in a ditch if AEW closes its door which is doubtful.
