All of her friends are in WWE. She's going to go to AEW, get a bag from TK, hopefully turn that division around but who knows with his booking and then she will be back in WWE for another bag...

It’s not like back in the days when MFs would take a paycut to go to TNA for less dates. This is a company paying MFs MORE money than WWE to work less dates.

The athlete comp is tough because their window is so much shorter than a wrestler, but the right analogy is probably something like LIV starting a basketball league and handing out stupid money. Would certain established stars who've done all there is to do in the NBA take that opportunity and then come back at some point ? Of course, because it's the mountain top of their profession where they made their name and nothing compares.

Whether it's the Cody path (unfinished business), the Jade Path (wanting to reach for that ceiling) or the Sasha path (coming back after doing it all) unless it's personal or they flat don't want you all roads lead back to WWE, it just is what it is.

I don't see what's controversial about it. Maybe the AEW runs goes really well and she gets an offer she can't refuse. But otherwise, why wouldn't she want to travel the roads with Bayley and Naomi again? Her and Bayley always talk about having one last match.
