Dude won the finals MVP in 07 and had his highest scoring average in 08. He was a mvp contender (a slow year admittingly) in 2012. Kawhi didn’t show up until 2014 really and manu and Duncan were starting to show rust after 2010. It wasn’t for a long period of time but give the dude his credit he did lead us for a little while.

This during his prime years he was pretty much unstoppable, that drive finish, he went from a can't score guy to wet damn near every mid range shot those years Parker carried some of those Spurs teams...

Shame how much mvp caliber players like ginobli, Parker, Lenard, and even Duncan sacrificed for the sake of pops system, people forget how beastly bank shot Timmy was already a dinosaur in our minds thanks to the Spurs system.... People pat pop on the back but maybe his talent just overcame his stubbornness and deficiencies, I saw pop blow a chip vs the heat, so was pop that genius, I don't think...
