I don't know about that. Favre after the turn of the century was basically Romo with greater durability. Last time he was healthy, Romo put up a year comparable to Favre first year in Minny. Sure we remember Favre's picks on here, but generally speaking a lot of his fukkups are glossed over. For example, Peyton has been known as a playoff loser for years, even after winning a ring. Favre never had such a rep despite being the main reason his team lost many of those games and holding the all time playoff Ls record before Peyton. It's interesting how we pick and chose who is a fukk up choker and who isn't.

He put up numbers comparable to Farve huh?

Did he also make it to his conference championship game that year?

Did he even win a playoff game that year?

:comeon:

He never would've made it that far. That's the point. We're not just talking about somebody who didn't win a SB. We're not talking about a Ewing or a Barkley or even a Dan Marino. This guy has every Cowboy QB record in history and has...what, one playoff win in his entire career? I don't know what the man lacks, but whatever the hell it is, he lacks it. You can't tell me we haven't had playoff-contending teams in his entire run. You could've put dude on the 92-93 teams and he STILL would have the exact same luck. And I have no idea why.

All I was addressing is this "he didn't need to win" BS. You wanna talk about his fukkupitis then be my guest.

Yeah he did.

No. He came within that Dez "non-catch" of doing so though.

Yes. He did actually.

Not sure what your point is though, because like clockwork Favre threw the season ending pick again that year. 2014 was one year you couldn't say was on Romo.

That Dez non catch doesnt guarantee him shyt especially the circumstances of that game. There was over 4 mins left and that Dallas defense couldnt even stop a conservative one legged Rodgers to get the ball back. Why ya'll act like that one play determined the game? They still woud had to convert a 2 pt. conversion to be ahead by a FG and they still would had to rely on that shytty defense to stop Rodgers (which they didnt as Rodgers led the team down to the cowboys 30 with run run pass plays)

Romo never got close to shyt and he is not even close to being like Favre.

Point is, they didn't lose that game because of Romo. I get that you are a GB fan (guessing by the avi) and thusly Favre's your dude. But honestly, what did Favre (not the team but Favre himself) do in the 00s that separated him from Romo? Stay healthy? shyt if we are being real, Romo probably could have won with those stacked ass GB squads of the late 90s. Favre spent more than half his career throwing balls up for grabs and cats are really in hear acting like he is unassailable. :mjlol:

You cant say if that TD would have stood that defense wouldnt have had a boost of confidence. They played arron well for the most part. Once you get fukked over by the refs like that, that shakes up the defense confidence by the huge swing in momentum.

I know Favre was reckless with the ball. That came with him since his college days. But the difference is that he was successful at doing it. Most his gun slinging ways were more positive then negative where as Romo its the opposite (thus he gets coined as a poor man's Favre).

Of course Favre had a nice defense in his SB winning days but so do most SB winning teams. Why dont u look at Favre in the 2000's when his team wasnt so stacked yet he managed to win playoff games. Why cant Romo do that? Favre was doing it with fukking Donald Driver as his main WR. Romo has had an oline, and elite WR and good RB and an elite TE yet he cant do shyt with that in the playoffs. Favre managed to win in the post season in his mid 30's. Romo has a whopping 2 playoff wins under his name.

You give Favre Dez, Murray, Witten and that O-line in the 2000's and he's gonna reach the NFC ship game bare minimum. Romo on the other hand....

sorry not buying this. a boost in confidence is all objective and not factual.

you have two scenarios: 1. You score the TD, u convert the 2pts and u ahead by a FG.....Now u need your D to stop the opposing team from being in FG range or getting a TD. The pressure is still on the D
2. You failed to score (which happened) and now you need your D to stop the opposing team from getting first downs and running the clock out. The pressure is still on the D.

you failed scenario 2 badly. Highly doubt you'd succeed if scenario 1 were to take place expecially on the road against a QB who was balling

And i dont know why ya'll keep saying u played Rodgers well for the most part because you didnt. i dunno what part of 316 yards and 3 TD's against a one legged QB is considered well for the most part in the playoffs. And if u watched the game, we moved the ball with ease in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Maybe because your D is so bad thats considered good to you but not to everyone else.

So is saying the D wouldnt stop gb if they were playin with the lead. Breh your confidence while playing with and without the lead is entirely different.

Fact is the refs robbed the cowboys of the opportunity

This how i know you aint follow the cowboys. The year he had em was in 14 when he was the reason they were in the game. Murray himself fumbled to peppers in that game. That was a catch by dez and shoulda been down at the one, but regarless that was on him an not romo that game. And that was the first year with that oline an they went 12-4 with romo straight of back surgery and romo having one of the best statistical seasons for a qb ever. You aint seen the lines romo had to play behind before jerry finally chose to draft tyron

Not blaming that game on Romo. Both QB's balled that day. Only difference is our D was better. And thats a fact.

Please dont talk to me about bad lines...U do know im a PAckers fan right? :heh:

My point is Romo is an underachiever with what he has. Even if he doesnt have a good line, he has and elite WR, RB and TE. Rodgers played most his career with a shyt line and no running game no TE to cover the bad running game and as the world can see now, mediocre WR's yet he's a HoF QB with a SB ring and multiple MVP's.

It's time to stop making excuses for ya boy. He may not be the reason they lost that game but he surely didnt win it for them

You say underachiever but brehs an undrafted qb who broke nearly all of the franchises records. Never said romo was better than arod. Dudes a beast.

Also murray wasnt labeled elite until only after thst season. Breh only barely cracked 1k once before thst year

This isnt about Arod vs Romo. This is about Romo vs. Favre since @FTBS been debating it. Dude thinks Favre was winning game with stacked teams and just being lucky heaving the ball up.

I only brought Rodgers up due to the constant rehash of that 2014 playoff game.

Let's be reality, if Dallas had more talent on defense during Romos tenure, they might have a Superbowl or at least a few deep runs in the playoffs. Romo actually covered up for the fact that Dalles never had a talented defense (as a unit).

Early on this was true, which is why I isolated the post 2000 era. I don't know how you can say this with straight face for his overall career or career since the 90s considering the number of playoff games he literally threw away. We talking 3, 4, 6 picks or just flat out ending the game/season with a pick. As I thought, you can't list what Favre himself did, you gotta throw up a team accomplishment in front of him. I am no Romo apologist, I acknowledge his shortcomings but there is really is no difference between him and Favre this century. It doesn't matter how good your weapons are (lets not act like Favre hasn't had weapons, no Dez or TO caliber guys but he's always had good wr) if you are making horrible decisions and throwing to the other team.

Of course he threw away playoff games but what you're failing to realize here is he also won them; even latter in his career. since 2000, well past his prime and stacked teams, he won 5 playoff games. Romo has 2.

5 vs 2, there's your difference between Romo and Favre this century

Or a better head coach, hell, coaching staff. The Cowboys weren't winning a SB with Wade Phillips as head coach and Garrett isn't much better.
