I don't want to change the subject, but in terms of what we were talking about last night -- it was because ESPN had live SportsCenter (nobody else had live programming at that hour) ... but they glossed over it briefly even after the press conference and confirmation of Ward's death.

nah, the criticism of espn is valid here. if lebron had instagrammed his diet recipe they would have sent that fat fukk windhorst on the next plane to bron's kitchen to cover it live. a kid gets run over and killed by one of the biggest names in nascar and they're nowhere to be found

when you don't have footage, substantial and confirmed info and quotes, all you can do is gloss over it briefly, for it's still a developing story (that they go back to once they have that info). That's par for the course, especially with death, that's just touchy. The one thing they can be at fault for is showing the actual footage, especially after you know he died. They showed it like it was a top 10 play of the week.

They suspend SAS because beadle misunderstood him or report any lebron James rumor in the world or jameis Winston incidents or go after tiger like crazy yet they show discretion when it comes to a certain kind of race , I mean Big Ben , lance , Belicheck barely gets a mention of spygate , this they want to be on some hey hey let's wait for the facts mysteriously . Breh, it was a dirt track in a random event on a Saturday night in Ontario County, New York. You didn't know there was an Ontario County in New York until you heard this story. All those other stories don't involve death. You have to tread softly with death, since the main party isn't alive to tell or tweet his side of the story. Everything else you mentioned had quotes, info, and alleged context, so you had something to work with. All anyone had were conflicting reports as to whether the guy even died or what hospital he was in.

Even shows that are lighter in nature have to be careful with this. Watch Around the Horn tomorrow. They'll discuss it, but they won't be awarding points during that debate.
