Appreciate the info! Dapped and repped.

Fascinating info.

I always thought Capoeira was a Brazilian thing. Didn't realize it was originally from Palmares, a forgotten black nation:mjcry:

White folk simply never let black people breath! :damn:

:mjcry:
no problem man...I agree with you that they never had a real black power movement like us...they were just socialized differently...Brazilians partied and had sex freely with each other so they think it's all good :mjlol::francis:

but we can't judge them so harshly when it comes to their views on race and racism...that only turns them off more...you gotta drop game here and there for them to soak up...there's plenty of conscious black Brazilians too, they not all sleep when it comes to their condition in society...we gotta connect with them more..

As fine as Afro-Brazilian men are and she rockin that undercooked Miley Cyrus looking, salmonella carrying raw chicken wing.

Okay Imma stop. I promise I'm not racist and I don't hate white people. I've met some beautiful souls of ALL races and evil exists everywhere.

But...BUT...our people cape a lil too hard for whites. I know I be going in on the way whites look but that's only because they are overhyped. Whites are nothing more than painfully average but people put them on a pedastal. I don't understand. I'm not even on no pseudo-Hotep, pro-black drill either.

I literally think blks just look better. I just don't know.

@agnosticlady see this is the type of bullshyt i'm talking about lol. She complains about there being discrimination against dark skinned black women and how lighter skin women are considered superior to them(Which is absolutely 100% true and valid) but then she gets with a damn cac to produce more of those light skin individuals :heh:

It's ludicrous!!!:mindblown:

The mental poisioning of black brazilians runs deep. They never really had a black power movement like the US did.

I wonder if their slaves even rebelled. All the books i've read on slavery don't really speak that much about significant resistance in that region.
:martin: :martin: :martin:

freed slaves had their own civilizations they defended for 90 years, it was multi-racial and largely ruled by Africans and Afro-Brazilians. european colonists attacked them 6 times with massive force and were repelled

there's a holiday called the day of black consciousness and monuments to Zumbi all over the country

this is in the capital

there is a huge amount of racism in Brazil but black brazilians are not the complacent morons you think they are. of course there are some who are blind to racial and systemic realities but there's a vibrant obviously black culture in brazil and people are proud to speak of their melanina

one more note: if you dont understand LUSO TROPICALISM then you dont understand the slightest grain of brazilian racial dynamics.

you see its impact in Angola, Mozambique, and even Goa to a lesser extent since it was adopted by Salazar during Estado Novo

at least google that before you get on internet forums talking about cultures you've never been a part of or even read about
