Dude is pure entertainment. The first time I heard, "When I saw that, my brain clicked, I bust a nut and kilt a bytch" in his slow motion pimp hand delivery, I was laughing non-stop.

:russ:

Short would be talkin the EXACT same shyt about hoes that you would with ya potnas verbatim.....nikka from the elementary yard to the VIP, cats don't realize how long nikkaz in the bay and beyond been fukkin with that man's music.

Add the content with that dangerous funk production.....Shorty B n banks, you got
a formula bound to split subs in the whip...Its in the culture, in the water, cant even explain it to nikkaz, you had to experience it for yourself on the block with potanas n a couple broads, in the parking lots, outside of clubs.

We had car shows at lunch time in high school, "Beat Shows" nikkaz in bucket corsicas, astro vans, station wagons, LTD's with zappco n 15's in the muthaucka slappin "In The Trunk" muthafukkin principal n faculty out there on the microphone talmbout "Louder!"

I swear some of yall nikkaz missed an era.

Them Lo Lifes...
I remember 1st hearing bout Short in. High school, 14-15, niccas talmbalt 'game' ,blowjob betty invasion of theflat bootie bytches etc..:russ:

I was like what the fvck is 'game'?:dahell::ohhh:

Mind you this when I started djing and got serious bout my record collectin.:dj2:

If it wasnt wax, I wasnt fukking with it:shaq2::birdman:

One of the homies got a early short tape and was all over that muthafugga, came to school reciting lyrics few knew..and if you was from the East,
Oakland..not coast:ufdup:
niccas spittin verbatim.

I still nvr really got a bead on Short back then, East Coast rap scene was in full swing. There was a show he was performing at, the Henry J Kaiser Convention center in Oakland...nicca opened up (might have been like Toddy Tee, LL cool j, LA Dream Team..I forget)
.started the show with beeeeeeeeeooootch..crowd went crazy :mindblown:.

1st song was city of dope...I remember that song was bout drugs, very vivid, Short impacted me ,didnt even know it...I was put off on going to East Oakland after that :scusthov:

2nd song had lots of cuss words..think it was blowjob betty.

Yall have to remember, back then rap music was pretty clean other than 2 Live Crew...

So after hearing this cat I had a combo of :gladbron::whoo::leon::wtf::mjlol::ooh::shaq: after a 2 song set.

Music Video Jukebox was coming into play as well..

Soon after Born To Mack came out and the rest is history:salute:

The shyt I used to LOVE about bay area radio, besides them play the shyt EVERYWHERE else that was hittin, how they would play the shyt outta local artists and support they own when them records dropped.

This muthafukka right here.....CLASSICK TOWN shyt.

If you just getting into Too Short, copp this shyt right now :damn:KMEL would play The Ghetto and Short But Funky back 2 back. CLASSICK quotables on both songs.......shyt, throughout the record.

Its simple, but the shyt STILL knocks, its real, and so gotdamn fonky.....The first time nikkaz heard him say "But some some dumb fool wanna take it outta hand, with 50 million dancers and a big o band that ain't me I'm from the old school, play the instrumental get the mic n I'm cool":ohhh::steviej:

Then they hit you with the "Baby Jesus" :russ::laff:
