Aquemini is probably my GOAT album, so that makes a very tough question rather easy for me.

For the thread's sake, from that list, my #2 would be...ummm...a tie? I guess depending on my mood, as both Moment of Truth and It's Dark and Hell is Hot could fill that spot. Capital Punishment #4, and Lost rounds out the Top 5.

400 degreez was a slow burn. it wasn't on the source's radar when they did this issue.

if they reviewed it prior to this, they prolly gave it 3 1/2 mics or something.
they never gave high-rank to relatively new artists that didn't make music that appealed to their purist sensibilities.

by the time guerrilla warfare dropped tho, they had to give it that 4 1/2 and pump-fake like they were making a profound statement, when in reality, they were behind the ball & trying to save face.

that's why I be telling yall, f*ck these magazine ratings.

I was a No Limit stan back in the day, but Da Last Don over 400 Degreez? :what:

why single out master p instead of some of this other stuff that wasn't even hot??

they got yall fighting amongst yourselves.

they used to jip master p out of mics and snub him too when he was first blowing up. ice cream man got 3 mics, and he was left off that best of '96 cover despite outselling half of those artists listed while being independent.
