Top 10 Dunk Contests ever - Jason Richardson's victory @ #9

Im a 91 baby so I'm probably ignorant. But did these nikkas really have the audacity putting Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin's contests over Richardson's ? Complete foolery. That Richardson contest was second only to Carter in my mind.

that Dwight Howard one wasnt special to me either breh

its kinda wack they took into account if the player was popular at the time for that list...if the dunks were ridiculous u gotta give them that top spot...

I still never seen any one throw it off the glass and go through the legs like J-Rich did, that is a top 10 all time dunk if not top 5.

Dwight's superman is the most over rated dunk in life history. Anybody that can jump over the rim can "throw" the ball in like he did. This is coming from a dunker so Im not just talking out my ass.

Vince Carter contest was the best contest as a whole in my opinion because that contest had 4 different contestants that were good enough to win it. Plus we saw dunks for the first time and the audience reactions were priceless.

That Jason Richardson dunk off the backboard between the legs deserves more recognition. J. Rich and Desmond Mason kept the Dunk Contest from fading to obscurity.

Desmond Masons through the legs dunk in that contest was absurd as well.

#1 should be #2 , and vice versa. J. Rich should be #3 . Vince Carter's performance at the dunk contest was like DMX's breakout in the rap game. It came at the perfect time. Dunk contests were getting whack as hell, and he came through and straight crushed the buildings.
That Dwight shyt was way overblown and so was Blake jumpin over the hood of that car. Vince, Mike vs Nique and J.Rich best three contests of my lifetime.

For real. Carter and Richardson Easily had the best contest in my day. I cant speak on the MJ and Dominique stints but nonetheless I dont think anything tops carters.

Yeah the J.Rich/Desmond Mason duel in 03 the best contest ever to me. I remember trying to do that last J.Rich dunk on a 8 foot hoop and damn near breaking my collarbone

2000 was great but VC had that one wrapped up early

This is why the J Rich/Desmond Mason contest is my fav too. It had a great build up. A better build up than any that I've ever seen first hand (91-present).
