Top 10 Flicks of the 80s Final List Updated

I expected that and The Shining to dominate this thread.

I think when most of us think 80s though, we go with the action adventure flicks or the fantasy flicks or just the straight up action so the more dramatic ones tend to be left in the wind. That's why I've had such a tough time with mine

shyt was different in the eighties.
especially in the early eighties.
all the good movies were still in the movies, like they were new premiere movies.

were you alive back then,.....or is this a list just to know what to look at.
or are you trying to get a feel for that time period.
like i was born in 76.
yet, saw star wars in the theatre and people still dressed up and all that shyt like it just dropped.
like before return came out, empire and star wars was still playing, AT THE MOVIES, breh.

we are so spoiled these days...if shyt doesnt leak in 1080 within a month people are pissed...back then you had to wait years for a movie to drop at an affordable price, or to rent like 6 months after the fact it was in the movies....thats if you were lucky enough to have a VCR. Hell, when VHS first came out movies were like 90 bucks to own I know thats how it was in the mid to late 80's, I was born in 83 tho so I cant comment on the early 80's

This is true. 80s were known for adventure and fun. But we have to remember that those action films are classics for a reason. All time classics. Made so well, so technically great and influential that they can't be denied.

You fukkin right it is. Am I supposed to be scared or change my opinion based on that smiley? One of my favorite Scorsese flicks and definitely one of his best if not his most controversial. I love the idea of taking a story and a character that everyone feels they know and putting some humanity in it. And there's no bad performances in it. I could've put another movie there based on the decade because there was no wrong answer in my mind but that movie stays with me.
