Mehhh the past two seasons he's arguably been a better QB in the regular season than Mahomes.

I say that as someone whose been highly critical of him and I'm sure you know that.

:why:

The past two seasons Mahomes went to two Super Bowls and won 1. He beat Lamar in Baltimore getting that ring. What are we talking about?

Elite QB's are expected to produce in the playoffs.

Bro if Daniels plays like he did last year he’s going to be up there. That kid literally had me on the edge of my seat whenever he was on tv. I’m expecting Washington to get more tv games because man that dude came in the league not giving AF! They need another qb to put out there and I’m hoping JD is the one.

That's why I specifically separated the regular season vs total body of work in my original comment.

That's why I said elite QB's are judged on the playoffs. Once you're established you can't hang your hat on regular season stats. You damn sure can't top the list based on that.

Swap Hurts with Burrow. You can't miss the playoffs in back tro back seasons and keep your spot when you have no MVP's or rings.

Jayden just beat Goff and Baker so bump him over them.

CJ just beat Herbert who never won a playoff game. He's only top 10 for looking the part. I'd put Love over him.

Problem with these lists is some guys are on there for accomplishments and some due to talent (Burrow/Herbert). People can't keep Burrow up that high when he's not sniffing the playoffs any year that Lamar finishes the season healthy.
In respect to your bolded portion above, let's take a moment to remember that there is no set, established criteria across the board with these things. Any two people can value one thing more than another.

Joe Burrow is a better quarterback than Jalen Hurts. Missing the playoffs tge last two years is hurting his reputation as is, and if he continues to do so, it will continue to damage his reputation and be reflected in rankings like this....in mine, anyway. Putting Burrow at 4 isn't an indictment on Hurts, and putting Hurts at 5 is really giving him his flowers.

Jayden played 1 year, and whike I understand the urge to overrate guys with 1-year runs (yall did it with CJ and Love too), I gotta see more. As great as last year was for Jayden, both Goff and Baker had phenomenal years as well, and both Goff and Baker have the greater body of work to this point.

Putting a guy who has only played a single season, in the Top 10, is giving him his appropriate flowers.

I'd hear a debate of CJ over Herbert, that's not a hill I'm dying for. As it is I'm already more of a CJ guy and I'm by no means a Herbert supporter.

I don't know what everyone else's criteria is but mine is balanced between your most recent work (what have you done for me lately), and your career as a whole. I try not to heavily skew one way or the other, and give the appropriate respect that both set of criteria deserve, so that I can meet at a proverbial middle ground.
