You just have to look at the demographics. Nas is the 1 rapper that is going to be named where his fanbase is overwhelmingly on rap forums. They are the epitome of "smart dumb nikkas"

You won't find people outside of rap forums that care about Nas at all. Dude has been irrelevant on a mainstream level for a long ass time.

Its like they all just show up here to bask in the glow of Nas.

Its very unsettling .

Swap out 'G-Unit' for '50 Cent' too. I'm talking about the same ones that shat on Buck when 50 kicked him out, then sang his praises when 50 said they were a group again.
...

:deadrose:

No budden stans?

He almost made the list. But people don't stan Budden anymore, and haven't stanned him for years now.

Drake stans is on the list, they think are that nikka just because they're fans of drake :heh:

These nikkas really try to push the agenda that you don't like his music, you don't have a social life :mjlol:

I know of nikkas that didn't care for 50's music in 03-04 and still had active social lives, its such a dumb ass argument :pachaha:

Nas would be in there to by default.
Dipset stans were bad at one point.
Wu has a lot of die hards.

Tupac, biggie, Eminem,50 and Wayne were the worst of all time.

Drake and Kendrick are keeping up.

There's a difference between die-hards and stans. I realize it's a thin line but it's a line nonetheless.

As I said once, "hip hop mathematics: the shyttier the rapper, the bigger the stan."

Nas and Wu may have stans, but they're also phenomenal rappers. Pretty much unquestionably. So the insecurity isn't there. In addition, it's not Jay-Z syndrome because these guys aren't billionaires or close. So there's no money/wife worship. All these things lower stannage.

Wu have serious die-hards. But are they annoying? Do you see Wu tang heads making millions of threads about how Cappadonna is the illest thing since sliced bread?

You simply can't compare Nas/Wu to cats like Pac who, by almost all attributes, was a decent rapper who left a Godzilla footprint on the game mostly because he was crazy and got killed for it. There are people in LA and elsewhere that think Pac was really gonna be president, overthrow the entire system and save all the single mothers. That's what I mean when I talk about stannage. It's next level hyperbole.

fukk.... I forgot D-Block. Definitely top 15.

I see the distinction you made there and I agree with you. What you failed to point out though is that the same rapper can have both die-hards and stans. Not all Nas fans are the same breed: you have the casual fan, the rap enthusiast who might appreciate his music objectively although not really care for it, the die-hard who will ride with Nas till the very bitter end, and the stan who will come up with excuses when there are none.

Edit: another major distinction that went unmentioned is how stans actually give the artist a bad name. You're absolutely right in that Pac's die-hards (or stans, whatever you want to call those guys) were over the top in their ideas of what he was and their aspirations for him, but they never really tainted Pac's image.

50 stans have me hating his next project before it's even out. :yeshrug:

He wasn't? :wtf:

And the answer is Eminem stans takes all ten spots. The reasons go beyond hip hop message board drama to race and sociopolitical reasons. Eminem stans are on some Elvis Presley caping shyt. It's not just which rapper is :cape:

Great White Hypes should always win these type of threads.

IMO those kinds of stans shouldn't even be in the conversation. You just can't take them seriously.

It's the ones that try to defend their case within the confines of Hip-Hop that are the worst.

Not including Eminem stans in these type of threads legitimizes their idiocy, an idiocy which is a lot more dangerous than Nas or Drake or 50 or Weezy stans duking it out. It should never go without saying that Great White Hypes produce the worst stans -- because when you don't say it, you are inflating their balloons while deflating better black artists. I'm not sure how to explain it well.

Don't worry- I got your message. I do see the merit in what you're saying, but I still think the worst punishment for them is to simply ignore them.

Here's how I see it: it's a thousand times more insulting to be ignored by the rap community for having a certain opinion than to be attacked by the rap community for having that opinion. Sometimes not acknowledging someone's beliefs sends a stronger message than dignifying it with a response; a response means that you're agreeing to hold a conversation with them about it, ignoring them means you don't even think they're at your level.
