VA is one if the most educated states in the US, there is a correlation between this thread and education.

Most of that education is due to the D.C. suburbs in Northern Virginia. If you take that out, those Virginia stats would probably come close to matching the South.

Remember, Richmond, VA was the capital of the Confederacy.

I am glad that somebody pointed out that Virginia stats are due to the number of people that move to Washington D.C. to work for the Feds. People move from all over the Country go to D.C., so of course they are going to have a higher percentage of educated people. Now take out those northern counties and you will likely see Virginia look more like North Carolina and Tennessee.

Bs, educated professionals in thenTidewater area and in central Va, and even if u take away the affluent northern Va counties then the std is STILL lower then those other bumfukk states.
