I think one of the keys to becoming a great speaker is practice. You got a practice in the mirror until you get confident enough to do deliver your message. This is good if you trying to develop a catch hand to catch bytches.
Gotta practice in front of people more so. Join a Toastmasters group. Or , and this helps a lot, join an improv group.

I'd tend to agree with you. Ethos or their stage presence is important. Having a great voice is part of that.

When you have a strong grasp on a subject you're naturally more confident.

I'd argue that storytelling is one of the most essential skills a great orator should have.
