when I went to DC last summer, we stayed in arlington just over the river from DC. hotel was really nice, and so was the area. I liked it a lot out there. hell, I'd personally rather live there than in DC. especially given the difference in cost of living and it's proximity to the city.

Northern VA is stupid expensive too

Once they build that MGM Southern MD will be too.

I've heard good things about bellevue school district. I teach elementary btw. I've never seen a run down area of Bellevue. But I also don't venture out of the downtown area.

Simple Sam, it's like asking why there are still blacks and latinos in the Brownsville area of Brooklyn despite the increasing gentrification and rental appreciation in the Borough. What your ignorant ass cannot grasp is that when people of higher income move into a certain area, the property values in the surrounding areas are also affected. It gets to a point where rental prices are no longer tenable for low income earners in the area, so they end up having to leave.

People are out there protesting in Oakland against gentrification as it relates to the tech industry, but all your simplistic ass can relate it to is 'nightlife' and 'entertainment'. Keep knowing how many points Curry scored against the Cavs while being ignorant of your community you c00n.
