Agreed. Funny how there are no QB's up there after Winston and Mariotta though. Wonder who's going to get the Bortles treatment and get hyped up and skyrocketed to the first round.
What about that Oregon State kid? Someone will reach for him

Same Todd McShay who said Blaine Gabbert was a better prospect than Cam Newton :russ:

Lets not pretend Cam aint struggled.. if he would have been drafted by Jacksonville he would have been complete ass too

The team has more to do with it

Most likely Huntley if he comes out. Just as athletic as Mariota but his pocket presence and accuracy is :huhldup:sometimes.
That's what I keep hearing. I can abide taking a QB that needs work, I just don't know that I trust my Jets to get better at developing a QB. :to:

Mannion? Yeah, that's another name I hear bandied about.

^^^ Cook's coming back for his senior year at Michigan State. Calhoun might too, but he hasn't decided/announced his decision yet.

No idea why people don't see Aaron Maybin with Vic Beasley. And Funchess is soft as shyt and has inconsistent hands at best.

be damn near scared to take a Michigan state QB after the failures that are Stanton, Hoyer and Cousins :lolbron:. Funchess is a great example of the measureables game that is the NFL draft. Crazy how many guys are drafted because of xyz measureable but their game film tells you they really can't compete.

There's a difference between struggling and being a flat out bust. Blaine Gabbert was the latter.

Breh cam would've been a bust in Jacksonville too. There are really no offensive weapons in Jacksonville and their defense is putrid. Gabbert was sacked 40 plus times his rookie season. Confidence is crucial when developing young talent. Dude lost all of his after his rookie season. The best situation for young QBs lies with teams that have strong defenses and a solid running game. Russell, kaep until this season, dalton, cam are all on teams that qualify, although carolinas running game has been suspect. Even big ben and brady when they first began starting were bolstered by a tenacious D and solid run game. Andrew Luck is probably the only recent exception to this rule but then again he's the best QB prospect in the last decade. Almost every other rookie QB that hasn't had a similar team structure has struggled.

Bruh have you seen Cam's sack numbers the past few years? He's one of the most sacked QB's in the league if not the most. But Cam has shown flashes of greatness with semi-consistent play. You will at least see something that tells you that this QB being held back by the team. I mean come on to say that any Jacksonville will doom any QB is hyperbole.

once Kevin White really learns the wr position, its a wrap. he reminds me of Fitz

Jax needs to build up that line, wrs are fine but Joeckel looks like a bust. gotta keep trying, I think they got a piece with Linder last year but need to keep picking OT's until some stick

Yes cam has been hit a lot. You're right about that. Gabbert was still sacked and hit more his rookie season. He also didnt start every game. How is the team holding Cam back? And what leads you to believe cam wouldn't have been a bust in jacksonville? You talk about a team holding someone back. Who the hell plays for the Jags that can help a rookie qb out offensively?

Rather have veteran olineman after 3 rookies starting last season

Draft the highest rated safety or amari cooper

puzzled that so many Jags fans say that, do you think Lee/Robinson and Hurns are 2's and 3's? seems like a group Bortles can grow with, and they have different skills. Lee's the burner, Robinson the all around with Hurns being the tough poss guy

i like Cooper and Collins, would probably be a bit high for Collins but i think hes a future Pro Bowl FS. would compliment Cyprien
