On a lot of the greatest artists of all time lists I see Bob Marley FAR too low. And in my opinion, Bob is better than MJ.

Where do you see Fela?

Thats my whole point, Bob and Fela are in more similar lanes, yet one gets the attention of the world while the other has only started getting a bit of fame recently.

Bob Marley has had a lot of fame, sold millions of records and is probably the most iconic black musician of all time, he is rated exactly where he should be.

I'm not talking about Fela, I'm talking about Bob. The people rate Bob where he should be, but when people compile the lists Bob is very very low down to where he should be. I've seen him like out of the top 100 and some artists that don't hold a candle to him ahead of him.

Sorry but Bob gets love from every quarter, he is iconic. In terms of popularity there is less than a handful of artists more popular and thats a fact. There have been a lot of great artists so it shouldn't irk you too much that he isn't always near the top of the list, like i said if Bob Marley is overrated then what is Fela, Marley is for me isn't a better musician than Fela yet he has had a load more acclaim.

Saying an artist like Bob or Mj or whoever is underrated doesn't really make sense to me, consider the hoopla surrounding them as artists.

This is an outrageous premise. Top 5? I would struggle with a Top 50. Simply because there are far too many songs made by this man that have touched me on an EMOTIONAL level. The dudes albums are like a wise sage, filled with wisdom and pearls. Music is honestly required listening for all black people regardless of where the fukk you're from or whether you like Reggae music.

Truly the greatest musician that ever lived. :salute:
