just watching knife fight....procrastinating on art practice :guilty:
saw miami ink the other day and thought about ya!

I was thinking about you too.
It's a chore to find inspiration but when you structure your life around the desk everything falls into place.

I've found some PDFs on anatomy that I'm taking a look at right now. Going to start practice sketching on my breaks at work.

wow I remember conceptart being the holy grail for internet artists, still seems to be
war of art sounds really good :obama:

Yeah very short pdf that helps you get over that procrastination hump.

But I do think the idea is to structure for life around art, so you have to take care of everyday life first.

And I'll visit conceptart more often then, I stumbled upon it looking for these reference books.

Instagram is also great for tattoo artists, a ton of exposure and inspiration from artists all over the world, daily. It can get a bit overwhelming if your comparing yourself to them, but everyday you can find something small and traditional to draw.

You have to have the initiative that you would expect an apprentice to have while in the shop. Right now it's about using the internet as your own online course while you prepare to make a larger commitment.

you still gonna do that convention?

That already came and went lol.
I went last year. Did a seminar, took some pictures, etc.

But this year I couldn't make it. No funds, looking for a job. I'm still piecing my life together as we speak. Just got groceries for the week. :wow:

Funny you bring it up, I saw wife of the owner of my old studio the other day. She took one look at me and spun around so quick I thought she lost her balance. :russ:

My plan right now is just get used to this new job I got. Get past my three months, establish my basics as a man, and then allow the creativity to flourish.
