i don't exactly agree with the fufu, though i can only have it small portions. could never eat a whole ball of it like nigerians. after eating about quarter of it, i start to get sick.

and yes to the inclusion of ethiopian food. most overrated in the world. most of the veggies and beans taste canned to me. and don't care for the spices. poor man's indian food. however, it's my girls favourite cuisine while mine is indian.

fish & chips

if the batter is seasoned it's goat.
if it's not, adding malt and vinegar does nothing for the blandness. that's my only issue. but the fish and chips I've had in london have been usually fried to perfection and nice portion size.

i also actually enjoy the traditional english breakfast as well as a sunday roast. but made sure to have these at spots that provide an elevated interpretation of these dishes so i know what they taste like at their best. though, never really had them at your run of the mill pubs or restaurants.

I saw this the other day on Facebook, I disagree about the fish and chips and kimchi slander.

African food is an acquired taste, imo. I don't think I could ever eat African food of any kind, simply because of its presentation, which throws me off. Y'know, for me, food has to not only smell and taste good, but it also has to look good.

I know an African girl in my town and word is that she apparently makes the best Fufu in 'Cuse.

Fish and chips are essentially fried fish and French fries. Sure, the cooking methods and ingredients are slightly different, but what's not to love about fish and fries?

Kimchi is good in certain dishes, but just eating it out of the jar ain't gonna hit the way it's meant to do, and plus he said his daughter left the lid off in the fridge, that shyt could've been spoiled by the time he tasted it.

No it’s not. Fish and chips the way they make it in the UK is different from how it’s made in the US. The UK batter is thick and not everyone can make it right. When it’s fried the outside is crispy but the batter on the inside close to the fish can be like thick cake. It’s hard to describe. Some spots will get cheap on you and make the batter way too thick.

I was never a malt vinegar on fish typed person until I had UK fish and chips. It’s not that I particularly like malt vinegar on fish, it’s that if you get some fish from a spot with bland batter you absolutely need the vinegar to give it some taste.
