I want to start this thread by saying, although america has a very bad political system, and also has alot of bad laws it is one of the best countries in the world. as a country its also one of the most diverse countries in the world, you can be cold as hell in alaska, then go to miami and be hot.
also these are real surface superficial things, this isnt me getting deep just real surface level.
anyway heres my list of things that would make america better
1 - NHS, I know people close to me that have had family memebers die due to not being able to afford the treatment/medication or their insurance not covering the fee or procedure. this is barbaric. usa should implement an NHS and make healthcare free. some one will probably say well this will push taxes up, but nope alot of places in usa like long island NY, and majority of southern Cali pay more taxes than all of England.
2. PUT THE CORRECT PRICE ON THE ITEM INCLUDING TAX, - would it not make more sense to have the full price included on the shelf price?
3. SWITCHES ON PLUG SOCKETS - the fact that you have to unplug an appliance for it to be completely off is ridiculous. I shouldnt have to unplug the iron to make sure the house doesnt burn down, and i shouldnt have to keep my tv on standby day in day out. a simple switch on the plug socket would correct this. on and off switch like damn near everywhere else on earth.
4. WITHDRAW MONEY FROM ANY BANK FOR FREE - even if you're not a member of the bank. being charged to withdraw your own money is capatalism at its finest. majority of countries you can withdraw from any atm or bank and not be charged.
5. PAY FOR YOUR MEAL AT YOUR TABLE WITHOUT THE WAITRESS TAKING YOUR CARD AWAY - usa is rife with bank fraud. there is no reason someone should have to walk away with your card, every resturant should have a wireless card reader that the waitress brings to the table
6.TIPPING - I've been to over 21 countries and nowhere has a tipping culture such as usa. why is it other countries and smaller countries like england have cheaper food, the waiters are paid more, and no one has to tip. yet usa can't think of a way where the custom doesnt have to prop up the employer paying low wages?
7. LEGAL GUNS - usa has had more mass shootings in 2018 than england or france has had in 5 years.
8. BENEFIT SYSTEM - The Uk benefit system along with france's are some of the best in the world. single mothers get taken care off providing they fit critera, also some get free houses. the benefit of this also falls on the men because child support is no where near the same as usa. i know 2 men that have gone to prison for not paying child support, ive never known of that happening in europe
like i said this isn't an attack on usa, i think its a great country but as an european born person living in usa just a couple observations
