Seems about right.

The West was still dominating back then pre-Nas/Big/Wu but you had Onyx, Naughty and them holding it down. Pretty much a lot of familar MTV acts there too

I didn't know snow sold that many albums.:dwillhuh:

He had one hit song.....and his album went 5x platinum

:mindblown:

Still never heard his album tho.

:pachaha:
his album generated 5 million dollars fukk knows why they chose to go with a dollar amount which they probably just made up or estimated anyway. they probably looked up sales for the year from a certain time & said $5 per sale or something

This chart is kinda dumb, at first glance I thought it was total sales.

Is this supposed to be net, gross, the artists income of the album or the record companies income of the album. Is it sales to date or sales by the end of the '93 fiscal year.

Im not sure what to make of this.

Good year in music, but yeah... a lotta the weakest albums sold a lot. Even the Eazy and LL albums were weak, so was the Snow, Wreckx n Effect, Salt-N-Pepa, and especially fukkin' PM Dawn and Tag Team. Nobody over 12 gave a fukk about Kris Kross' albums, and I'd actually have to agree that Digable Planets were kinda corny in retrospect. They had a couple cool joints, but that whole jazz-influenced insects angle they were on? Blah. Ditto for Arrested Development.
