And usually a general/admiral can and di have private homes… probably multiple. But I know a lot of them stay on base housing as well. It was a part of an old job to go and fix their equipment. So maybe the CO doesn’t but someone does and they’re not all civilians.

And Officer/Enlisted housing is different, it’s why I asked. If they are not on base then it’s probably because it’s full or that base/state is their permanent residence.

Biden lived there, Pence lived there, Vance lives there now, Chaney stayed there, Gore, Quayle, Bush, etc.

Depends on the brance and resources, most people with families don't want to live on base, there are a lot of annoying rules and restrictions and again the housing isn't that great, but this depends on the base. So typically, especially with the air force you will see people off of base housing. Army is different due to their rules, but you see a lot of bad marriages, scam marriages, hoes getting pregnant and other shyt to get off base and out of the barracks. Can't really speak on the navy because I haven't worked with them closely.

The ironic thing is they're living in the hood. They're saving money by living in Public housing. I feel bad for their assistants who have to cut their grass.

I’m also aware of different bases having different rules. I’m telling you from MY experience, the base housing that is allocated for Admirals and generals, where some even have their own cooks and shyt with their entire family, have usually been occupied. Maybe not so much anymore, since a lot of them have been fired or resigned.

Maybe it is different by branch or base. I have not been to them all to say. But from my experience, they are taking up space and resources from people who deserve it more

Fort McNair isn't but Fort Myer is. I was stationed at Fort Myer for a minute it was actually my last official duty station before I retired.

McNair is a sub base of Myer but I don't think the Altantic would fukk that up.
