Shaq heading into that year was swept out of the playoffs in 94, 95, 96, 97, 99 with zero finals wins. He had loaded teams in Orlando with ALL NBA 1st team Penny and good role players. Then came to a Laker team that won 50 games the year before he came and they still lost for 3 years. Most of the time they lost because they fell apart in the 4th quarters and didnt have a guy that could consistently close games.
Then In Kobe's 1st full year as a starter, becomes one of the best players in the league, they win titles and then Nikkas act like shaq had been winning chips forever
I'm not saying Shaq wasnt great but Bryant was a huge part of it. His scoring,Playmaking skills,Defense, and ability to close games was essential. He saved Shaq and The Lakers Ass multiple times. The game being one of them, prob the most important of the Dynasty
