toronto is big as hell, thankfully the majority of the city is safe but there are pockets that are not safe.

guns are guns, bullets and bullets, drugs are drugs.

the majority of the murders take place in the exact same spots, jane and finch, malvern, rexdale etc

couple club shooting here and there and sometimes murders in random non hood spot, but yeah i agree with your post.

Nobody compared those to toronto or tried to make it sound like the rest of the city is bad. New York city has great stats too, does that mean the hoods there are not as bad as Gary, Indiana

I don't or didn't mean to give the impression that Toronto is ''soft'' i guess what i was really trying to say is that in Toronto you can clearly see where the crime is and you can totally avoid it. I use to live in NYC in the 90's and it could go down anywhere, or like living in the Buffalo area today, its only truly one area in the city that i would say is totally safe here in Buffalo. Toronto has so much going for it. I'm in rexdale all the time. I was just trying to say that people in Toronto need to take advantage of what they have. Its a cleaner calmer version of NYC with a lot of money to get. While almost every American city economy is going down Toronto's keep going up. Constantly rated as top 5 place in the world to do business. nikkas need to focus on getting to the money.

I know this ain't really about hip hop but i gotta keep it 100 tho....since Toronto youth really does not have its own culture and normally borrow's cultures when they go out of town to visit family, they switch styles a lot. I hate how they did Kardinal when Drake came out. I would have never even came to Toronto if it was not for Kardinal. He put the whole city on the map. That nikka is royalty and when Drake came out i did not know he was from Toronto for a while. Thought homey was from Houston. Kardinal gave us real T-dot insight in his music. That west indian/jamaica sub culture in Toronto is thick. I be on Eglington at the jamaican spots and all you hear is patois because all the black people are from the west indies or straight from Africa. I don't like the way Toronto sh$%'s on the people who put them on.

Listen, like I said, Toronto is a tale of 2 cities. I can't speak on London, but when ur barbers head gets blasted with a shotty while he's at work, it kind if makes u question things and wonder wtf is wrong with people. I don't condone violence, but I grew up in a very violent section of Scarborough, Toronto known as Malvern. Most black people in Scarborough are Jamacian, Trini, Guyanese, American or from Somolian an Ethiopian. This city is beautiful, has nuff women for everyone, as has mad opportunity for progress and money. But nikkas die out here. And that is the unheard of, barley mentioned part of Toronto. TBH, a lot of white people, especially in East York/North York where try are older euro's do not like blacks at all. They assume if you are black you are a gangster...life for young black men here is very similar to any major American city.

and im not syaing its cool, but theres poverty and crime EVERYWHERE. Americans act like its only in america...these same americans would get laughed at if they went to The hoods in Africa, jamaica...and other countries ...talkin bout poverty america is one of the richest places in the world.

the point im making is just because theres more violence in other parts of the world, doesnt negate the violence and crime that occurs in your city.
