So about 2 years ago, Drake randomly started calling Toronto "The 6".... But before then nobody ever called Toronto anything but maybe T.Dot. Also there is no valid reason to call Toronto the 6.

Even Toronto artist Tory Lanez called Drake out and said nobody calls Toronto the 6. He even said it on his Breakfast Club interview.

So where did Drake get the "6" from?


He got it from one of his former ghostwriters Quentin Miller.

Quentin Miller whom is from ATL frequently talks about the "6" which is in reference to EAST ATLANTA ZONE 6.
Quentin Miller's rap duo partner "Cool is Mac" is from DECATUR (East Side), and Quentin Miller and his crew frequently hang around East Atlanta (Edgewood, Ponce, Little 5 Points etc). So thats what he means when he wrote "Runnin through the 6 with my woes".
If you ever listen to Quentin Millers music or his rap duo's music they constantly talk about East Atlanta.

I know saying "6" sounds cool, but Drake should have been smart enough to take that part out, as it is in direct correlation to Quentin Miller. Toronto is NOT the 6, never has been, never will be.
