Anybody who says "if this team ran the bases better they would be up in the series" is an absolute retard. That's like saying if ohtani pitched a perfect game dodgers would be up 3-1. It's flat out moronic. Base running is major aspect of the game, just like pitching and hitting.
And literally the difference between winning and losing in every single game is mistakes. Errors. Poor judgement. Lack of focus. The jays poor base running was because their players and coaches choked in the biggest moments. Performing under pressure is what seperates great teams from the best. In every sport.
