The Blue Jays had their opportunities, but I think it's somewhat absurd to say they choked. They were heavy underdogs going into this series. They were going against a team with three MVP's, a likely future Cy Young winner, and a team that won the World Series last year. They made some baserunning mistakes, but I'm not calling it a choke, especially when going against the Dodgers.

The Dodgers made multiple HUGE defensive plays last night. Both the Rojas play and Pages play would have ended the game if they didn't make those plays. There is no way someone can call this a choke.

A choke would be 28-3, the Maple Leafs blowing a three goal lead with ten minutes left against the Bruins in a game seven, etc.

Edit: Also doesn't make it easy when Bichette and Springer are almost crippled.

We choked breh but I blame it all on one person John Schneider

Betts an all star and future hof moved down the lineup because he's struggling

Nathan lukes ten year minor leaguer scrub keeps his number two spot

Eric Lauer 4 IP in that 18 innings game 0 runs was never seen again this series

But go to a guy like Shane Beiber who just came back from Tommy John 3 months ago putting him in on 3 days rest

Man on third man on first let Barger steal a base but nah

Clement most hits ever in a post season you have batting 7th :dahell:

Not only did they choke it’s one of the biggest baseball chokes I’ve ever seen. :dead: Every time they needed a big hit they choked. :manny:

Facts Jays came up short but they definitely didn’t choke…They didn’t make any REAL miscues or head scratching plays in pressure moments to lose the game, that’s just baseball for you..Like you said Dodgers where just air tight defensively and timely like a veteran championship team should be..

And please, for the sake of simply sparing the public, let this be the last time they ever conduct these goof ass in-game interviews, especially in a fukking Game 7. That was an embarrassment

Even the national media hates it. It's an insult to the teams, and it's an insult to the fans.

I said this last night and I completely agree. It's mind-boggling that they think it's a good idea and I'm shocked it's even allowed. It's one thing if it's between innings (Still don't like that), but to be interviewing them during an inning, especially in a game seven is beyond insane.

How is that a choke? It's not a choke to not hit against Yamamoto. The Blue Jays were heavy underdogs this series with a few cripples on their team. The Dodgers made numerous insane defensive plays.......that's not choking. Too many people want to label every type of loss a choke. This wasn't that.

This… I’m sick of this narrative in sports. The Dodgers won it. When they needed a play… they made it.

It comes down to pitching but even with the Dodgers better pitchers that game could have easily went Blue Jays way.

Like I said before it was a great game it'll be interesting what both teams do this off-season. It's a long season but I can definitely see both of them make it back. I am disappointed in Betts I feel he had a terrible post season for being their number 2 offensive player. Blue Jays have some decisions to make, Bo Bichete signing he's their 2nd best player offensively but a terrible short stop. They need to spend money and improve their bullpen. They don't have a true closer.

I would say they made several miscues/head scratching plays in several pressure moments to lose the game. With a couple of each in this game 7.
That play where the dude on first base got out because he thought vlad got walked - miscue/headscratching
bases loaded, 1 out, still not scoring - miscue/headscratching
IKF on 3rd base and not scoring because his lead was trash - miscue headscratching
all those were pressure moments.
