i also googled the other producer credited on Hate to Say, Christian Lou and he tweeted about this. he said that Bobby made the beat, gave it to Christian who made a few changes and then gave it to Play Picasso (Tory's main producer) who also made some changes. Then Tory used it.

I was aware it's the same producer. However I do feel Tory heard VI's version first then reached out to the producer for the beat (who of course isn't going to turn down a major placement like that and I don't blame him). Taking the beat is one thing but straight up starting your verse the exact same and jacking the flow is where it became lame.
