Not just a lifeline...he was given a lifeline that you or I or any regular brother would NEVER be offered. Any plea deal given to us would be "you're facing 20, cop to this discharging a firearm as a convicted felon and take this 10".

Why didn't he want to be deported?

Maybe deportation is the wrong wording, but he didnt want to take the deal because he wouldve had a felony. As a canadian citizen he woudlnt have been able to enter the US again with a felony on his record, just like rappers with felonies cant go into canada or have a very hard time getting in. For the type of rapper he is, US is where the money is and his career would be over as far as being a star.

Least that was the rumor why he didnt take the deal. idk how true any of that is, im not a lawyer at Breh & Breh Law Firm but made sense
