That ain't my personal view but Jamaicans / dancehall real fans never really held Sean Paul to that legend status like the Beenie, Vybz, Yellow etc etc for whatever reasons.
I remember when Sean Paul was poppin a lot of dancehall fans used to tell me "this ain't the real dancehall"
I'm far from a dancehall expert. I'm just going off what I hear from dancehall fans / Jamaicans. (I grew up around a lot being from south London)
FACTS....I'm not Jamaican but a huge dancehall head that's the consensus
As someone with 500 gigs of Dancehall/Reggae music alone
Sean Paul had the lead single or top tracks on several riddims (Playground, Fearless, Medina, Bookshelf*, Up Close & Personal*, Mud Up, Buy Out*, Liquid*, Coolie Skank, Stepz*, Applause, Junkanoo, Seasons, High Altitude, Dem Time Deh, Tremor)....too many more to name
* being some of the best riddims of all time
Tory Lanez > Drake
sounds more natural
