I wanted more rapping but I'm so glad he didn't drop a pop album. I've been a fan since One Verse One Hearse and I was scared the label was gonna make him do a bunch of pop records.

My man dropped a solid cohesive album. In the sense of debut albums, it was WELL DONE. Its not a classic but dude IS NOT going anywhere and will be a problem for years. If he keeps dropping those occasional bangers he'll have a fan for life.

2 things though: These skits are too much. They work on a story rap album but he's an r&b singer and they feel like too much of a knockoff when Kendrick & YG just did that concept recently (YG twice)

And why he got a song called 4am Flex that's totally different from the one he did with Budden & Fab a month ago?

Album fell short. Lost cause had bars for days.

It's literally a good kid mad city layout of views with somewhat better songs but without the hits.

I'm a big Tory fan but I honestly dk why he didn't come with bars to balance it out

Cause it's AN ALBUM. Of course you think a mixtape will be better, honestly they usually are. In the sense of it being an album and KNOWING he's a singer..he did not disappoint.


I HATE "girl tracks" and I listened to this joint front to back and didn't feel disgusted.

Hes from a suburb called Brampton which has a large black middle class. He never grew up rich per say (Forest Hill) but he grew up richer than most nikkas. Still his life wasnt easy and I personally remember dude spamming facebook back in 08-09 tryna come up. Hes literally been rapping for years tryna grind and broke through with Soulja and Beiber a few yrs ago. Still as far as nikkas are concerned ive never heard a Toronto nikka really ever hate on son for his upbringing or anything. Hes extremely popular in Toronto.
