I know the consensus seems to be the Rockets but was looking for that Coli feedback.

And I don't even necessarily mean which team faced the best competition but which team just had tough ass, drag em out, 6 & 7 game dogfight series all throughout the playoffs. Any ones come to mind for y'all?

The Mavs faced good squads but I don't remember them having any series that went 7. They took care of the lakers and thunder in like 5 each if I recall correctly. There has to be a team that struggled harder to reach the finals.

Are we going strictly off the record of teams they beat on the way to the finals? They deserve a lot of credit. Beat the 57-25 lakers and 55-27 thunder on the way there. That same year Miami beat the 56-26 Celtics and 62-20 bulls in the playoffs on the way to the finals too. In 1997 the bulls beat a 56 win hawks team and a 61 win heat team on the way to the finals. The 2006 Mavericks went through the defending champion spurs and SSOL suns the last two rounds out west too.

If that’s the criteria then it’s the 2007-08 Celtics. Went 7 with Atlanta and Cleveland and then went 6 with Detroit.

Yeah I was thinking less in terms if their opposing teams records and more just how tough the series they played in ended up being. Like if a team went 7 games more then once or game back from a 3-2 defecit more then once.

The Mavs/Spurs series in 06 was epic.

Mavs and Rockets, low key it's still surprising to me that the Celtics needed all those games to get to the finals. All those series were great intensity-wise too.

I mean..the 2013 Heat had a relatively easy first round vs the Bucks, a physical 5 games vs the Bulls then went life and death vs the Pacers and Spurs. Those last 2 series were as tough as they come. The Heat ended up having to come from behind in both. And really had to dig deep to pull it out and it aged their team a little faster than they should have as a result.

95 Rockets were the 6th seed & a 47 win team yet they beat Malone/Stockton Jazz in the First Round, Chuck/KJ Suns in the Semis & the 62 Win Spurs led by the reigning MVP David Robinson.

Then they swept Shaq/Penny in the Finals. :mjlol:

They defeated 3 different 60 win teams during that run to the Finals with multiple HOFs in their prime. :wow:
