Above the fray.
The last thing anybody cares, or should care about at this moment is what 1 or 2 random tourists are saying or doing.

People who upped that vid would be putting their energy to better use by helping to route people who want to donate time, money, supplies for the ongoing recovery in the right direction.

*Travel agency/hotel will compensate the tourists eventually

There has been quite a few videos like this on my timeline of various behaviour including Guests fighting over food in the hotel.

Record them all, every time it happens. Whatever country, whatever race.
Spread the word around to the taxi drivers, the rental companies, the restaurants and the higglers.
The problem would solve itself in short order.

If there's one thing the entitled hate, it's having a mirror held up to their face.

When you think of how large the tourism industry is in JA, 1 or 2, quite a few, or even 100 of such videos would represent less than 1% of the current tourists there.

99% + of the tourists either cut their stays short and left ahead of the hurricane, or are dealing with their situation knowing the catastrophe that has occured.
And most of them know that they will be compensated for their inconvenience, at a later date.

Even dozens of videos of irate tourists doesnt change the fact that they represent a tiny fraction of people vacationing, and that the overwhelming majority is making do until they can return home.

The ppl who are having to stay in the hotel to work, maybe don’t feel that way when an irate tourist is shouting in their face about breakfast they were served in a catastrophic natural disaster, when they may not know if their relatives are safe and can’t guarantee if they will have home to go back to. That 1-1 interaction may not be so easy to gloss over.

@Jcotton1 if you have something to say; say it bro. Don’t neg me in private and hide behind your screen. Say it with your chest.

Somebody should have knocked her teeth down her throat. The hotel is not going to re house these ppl.

I truly believe there should be a clause where you can snap back on a rude ass tourist or guest if you’re working. I be having to stand up to people in front of me in line somewhere cause to sit there and watch someone be abused or humiliated just cause they’re getting paid… I mean that’s basically prostitution. You just watching someone get heauxed. We gotta start standing up to the Karens of the world instead of pulling out our phones and shyt.

And yes I have had bad experiences with rude workers but I just walk away or laugh it off, ain’t no reason to be doing all that. I’ll leave a bad review or something if anything.

I hear your point, and nobody should have to deal with abuse at work. Much less when they have to work and be separated from family/home during a catastrophe.
I have relatives who work in the hospitality industry and they have to deal with scumbag behavior and 1 to 1 encounters with rude people.

Not dismissing what the personal experiences of these workers are. If anything, hope the videos airing puts pressure on management and it leads to man. doing a better job of protecting the workers, and communicating what their challenges are to the patrons, and the facts on the ground.

The scumbags are frustrated, and rather than direct questions/concerns with the decision makers, they lash out at the staff. True low life behavior.
