I wouldn’t put it on I2 level. I was legit disappointed in that movie.

If I had to place it somewhere, easiest for me would be Toy Story 2, since I’m not sure where they each rank at the bottom of the series. Pretty close imo
Agreed, just got out of the showing and this was way better than The Incredibles 2 in every way possible. That film was such a disappointment. That's the film that actually made me lose a bit of faith in Pixar, but Toy Story 4 reassured to me that everything is alright. The perfect conclusion to my beloved childhood saga.

I was holding back tears something serious during them final 30 minutes. :to: Toy Story 2 is still my favorite one yet but this follows closely right behind it.

My emotions were running at an all-time high at that moment, and then I recalled back to when one of the first posters dropped:

I legit almost cried at this point. What a send-off. All the OGs in film franchises going out with a bang it seems. :mjcry:

'Toy Story 4' Opens Below Box Office Expectations, Yet Still Soars

Gonna make the biggest opening they ever had but still "below expectations".

Bruh..am I just out of touch...but I swore Toy Story was Pixar's biggest franchise. How is it not going to do better than Incredibles 2? Franchise fatigue?
My guess is, incredibles 2 was a bigger anticipated movie. Part 2 was almost 15yrs later after the the classic original. Guaranteed, if they ever do a part 3 it won’t bank as much as part 2 did. Part 2 was a huge letdown.

There's zero doubt in my mind this is a good movie... but it just doesn't "look" good from the trailers. I bet some people agree with that assessment.

Sometimes, trailers are misleading or they don't do what they're supposed to do to sell the movie. Like with comedy movies, they always put in the weakest, most predictable jokes to advertise them.

The trailer for Jungle Fever made it seem like it was going to be some C-level comedy. :russ:
